Embarazo y Enfermedad de Behçet

La enfermedad de Behçet (EB) es autoinmune, multisistémica, crónica, de origen desconocido, aunque se cree que la exposición a algún agente externo (infección) en personas genéticamente predispuestas la desencadenaría. Su curso es remitente recidivante. Actualmente no tiene cura. El tratamiento se enfoca en la disminución del dolor y en la prevención de complicaciones. Una mujer con EB debe encontrarse en una fase estable y asintomática para quedarse embarazada porque debe abandonar casi todos los tratamientos inmunosupresores. Apenas existen estudios que relacionen la EB con el embarazo aunque se sabe que ocurren remisiones y exacerbaciones y que aumentan las complicaciones del mismo [seguir leyendo].
