Resumen Objetivo. Conocer si existe alguna relación entre la tendencia y evolución de los resultados de los indicadores de calidad/seguridad y la inclusión de los mismos en el sistema de Retribución Variable por Objetivos (RVO). Metodología. Se realiza un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo de los indicadores evaluados en diferentes anualidades, del 2006 al 2010 (Previa y posterior a su inclusión en RVO). Se estudia el número, distribución y evolución en el tiempo, de manera individual y agrupada de los indicadores. Se estudia la influencia del factor retribución variable en los resultados en función de las veces que se han incluido los indicadores en el sistema RVO. Resultados. Los resultados muestran una tendencia claramente significativa en el sentido de mejora en los resultados alcanzados en relación al factor tiempo. Existe una evolución distinta según el patrón con un efecto positivo significativo cuando se incluyen un número mayor de indicadores en RVO. La tendencia más positiva y significativa p<0,001 se obtiene en el indicador "Valoración del dolor una vez por turno". Conclusión. La RVO ha influido en un mayor cumplimiento de los indicadores de calidad/seguridad, por tanto una mejora en los cuidados evaluados. Palabras clave: Incentivos/ Calidad asistencial/ Indicadores de calidad/ Seguridad.		Abstract (Incentives influence the evolution of quality of care indicators: Security) Objective. To know if there is any relationship between the trend and evolution of the results of the indicators of quality / safety and their inclusion in the system of variable remuneration by Objectives (RVO). Methods. We performed a retrospective study of the indicators evaluated in different annuities, from 2006 to 2010 (before and after inclusion in RVO). We study the number, distribution and evolution over time, individually and grouped the indicators. We study the influence of the variable remuneration based on results of the time indicators are included in the system RVO. Results. The results clearly show a significant trend in the sense of improvement in the results achieved in relation to the time factor. There is a different evolution in the pattern with a significant positive effect when including a larger number of indicators in RVO. The most significant positive trend p <0.001 is obtained at the "Evaluation of pain once a turn." Conclusions. The RVO has influenced more of the benchmarks of quality / safety, therefore an improvement in care assessed. Key-words: Incentive/ Quality of health care/ Quality indicators/ Safety.
