Resumen La diálisis peritoneal consiste en la depuración sanguínea extrarrenal de solutos y toxinas mediante mecanismos de transporte osmótico y difusivo que permiten el paso de agua y solutos desde los capilares sanguíneos al líquido dializante; para su instalación se requiere de bolsas de líquido dializante; actualmente existe la bolsa gemela (BG) y la Ben Y (BY). La técnica de cambio de bolsa de diálisis peritoneal (CBDP) lo lleva a cabo el profesional de enfermería, por lo que se considera importante realizar este estudio. Objetivo: Establecer el estándar de calidad y conocer la eficiencia con que se realiza la técnica de CBDP. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio observacional y descriptivo, el universo fueron los procedimientos de CBDP realizados con los sistemas BG y BY, durante junio y julio de 2007, en el Servicio de Nefrología. Se diseñó una cédula de auditoría para el sistema de BG con 11 variables y otra para el BY con 13; ponderándose cada variable según su importancia en la técnica; se utilizó la estadística para determinar el índice de eficiencia por caso (IEC), actividad (IEA) y el global (IEG). Resultados: La bolsa gemela obtuvo el 93.5% de IEC, el IEA en 9 actividades fue del 92% y en la tercera actividad del 50%, y un IEG del 93%. El sistema BY presentó un IEC del 91.1%, el IEA en 9 actividades fue del 95% y en la tercera actividad del 37%, y un IEG del 90.8%. Conclusiones: Esta investigación permitió establecer el estándar de calidad y conocer el nivel de cumplimiento con que se realiza la técnica de CBDP, sin embargo, es necesario implementar un plan de mejora continua que garantice una atención de calidad al paciente. Abstract The peritoneal dialysis consists of the extrarrenal sanguineous purification of solutes and toxins by means of mechanisms of osmotic and diffusive transport that allow to the water passage and solutes from the sanguineous capillaries to the dializant liquid; for its installation it is required of bags of dialyzate liquid; at the moment stock-market exists Twin (BG) and Ben Y (BY). The technique of change of stock market of peritoneal dialysis (CBDP) carries out the infirmary professional to it reason why it is considered important to make this study. Objective: To establish the quality standard and to know the efficiency whereupon are made the CBDP technique. Methodology: A observational and descriptive study was made, the universe were the procedures of CBDP made with systems BG and BY, during June and July of the 2007, in the Service of Nephrology. Design a certificate of audit for the system of BG with 11 variables and another one for the BY with 13; weighing each variable according to its importance in the technique; did used the statistic to determine the index of efficiency by case (IEC), activity (IEA) and the global one (IEG). Results: Bag Twin obtained the 93.5% of IEC, the IEA in 9 activities 92% and the third activity 50%, and a IEG of 93%. System BY present/display a IEC of the 91.1%, the IEA in 9 activities 95% and third activity 37%, and a IEG of the 90.8%. Conclusions: This investigation allowed to establish the quality standard and to know the level fulfillment whereupon is made the CBDP technique, nevertheless, is necessary to implement a plan of continuous improvement that guarantees an attention of quality to the patient.
