RESUMEN

A nivel mundial el nacimiento de niños prematuros crece de forma constante en la mayoría de los países llegando a tasas de algo más de uno por 10 nacimientos. España, según el último informe Peristar es uno de los países en los que se detecta este incremento siendo del 1,1% en los nacidos con menos de 32 semanas y de 6,9% en los nacidos entre la 32 y 36 semanas. La atención de estos niños, especialmente de los prematuros extremos requiere atención muy especializada en una unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCIN) [seguir leyendo].
