RESUMEN

Introducción: Estar sometido a la tarea de cuidar trae consigo una gran cantidad de estresores que pueden ocasionar que la persona cuidadora sufra problemas de salud. Por ello se ha tratado de medir el impacto de cuidar mediante instrumentos.
Objetivo: Determinar cuáles son los instrumentos más utilizados para medir de Ansiedad en cuidadoras de mayores dependientes.
Material y métodos: Revisión sistemática de estudios cuantitativos con los criterios de inclusión: estudios originales, sobre personas cuidadoras informales de mayores dependientes, cuidado en el domicilio del paciente y que el cuidador presente ansiedad y el estudio incluya su instrumento de medida de las principales bases de datos.
Resultados y conclusión: Se incluyeron 57 artículos y se encontraron 8 instrumentos de medida para la ansiedad. El instrumento más empleado es el State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) y todos los encontrados poseen unas propiedades psicométricas adecuadas pero son inespecíficos para la medición de la ansiedad en cuidadores de mayores dependientes.
