Resumen

Objetivo: Identificar los estudios realizados para evaluar las conductas promotoras de la salud en estudiantes universitarios mediante la escala Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP II) e identificar los intereses que orientan su uso así como los hallazgos de las investigaciones. Método: La búsqueda de artículos se realizó en la base de datos Medline, publicados desde la última revisión de la HPLPII. Resultados: Se seleccionaron 37 artículos centrados en la evaluación de la conducta promotora de salud en estudiantes universitarios mediante la escala HPLP II. Los resultados se presentan según tipos de estudio, objetivos, factores predictores y perfil de las conductas promotoras de salud. Conclusiones: La mayor parte de estudios coinciden en moderada la conducta promotora de la salud de los estudiantes. Siendo susceptible de ser mejorada, especialmente mediante la introducción de programas en el currículum académico que las potencien.

Abstract (Literature review: Health promoting behaviors in university students)

Objective: To identify studies evaluating the health promoting behaviors in college students through the Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP II) scale and identify the interests that guide their use as well as research findings. Method: The articles search was conducted in the Medline database, published since the last revision of the HPLPII. Results: 37 articles focusing on the evaluation of health promoting behavior in university students by HPLP II scale were selected. The results are presented by type of study, objectives, predictors and profile of health promoting behaviors. Conclusions: Most studies agree moderate the health promoting behavior of students. Being able to be improved, especially by introducing programs in the academic curriculum that enhance.
