Factores motivacionales que impulsan a estudiar enfermería

Resumen

Objetivo principal: Realizar una revisión bibliográfica de los diferentes factores motivacionales intrínsecos y extrínsecos que han influido en elegir iniciar unos estudios de enfermería durante la última década. Metodología: Se realizó una búsqueda de artículos originales en las bases de datos MEDLINE, CINAHL, SCOPUS y PSYCINFO desde el 2005 al 2015, con las palabras clave career choice, motivation y nursing students. En cada artículo seleccionado se determinó el país de procedencia, el tipo de instrumento utilizado para el estudio y la muestra utilizada. Resultados principales: Se seleccionaron 15 artículos. Los resultados evidencian que el altruismo y el deseo de cuidar siguen siendo los primeros factores motivacionales. Conclusión principal: Se constata que hay un marcado componente multifactorial de causas extrínsecas que podríamos clasificar como razones profesionales, razones prácticas, opción por defecto y vivencias con el cuidar.

Abstract (Motivational factors to study nursing)

Objective: To review the literature of different intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors that influence choosing nursing launch studies over the last decade. Methods: A search of original articles in the MEDLINE, CINAHL, SCOPUS and PSYCINFO for articles published between 2005 and 2015 with the keywords career choice, motivation and nursing students. In each selected item the country of origin was determined, the type of instrument used for the study and the sample used. Conclusions: There are a marked multifactorial causes extrinsic component could be classified as professional reasons, practical reasons, default and experiences with care.
