RESUMEN

Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud, el ictus es una patología que se caracteriza por una alteración brusca del flujo sanguíneo cerebral, que ocasiona un déficit neurológico focal o global, en una o varias estructuras del encéfalo. En los últimos años, se ha convertido en un problema sociosanitario de primer orden, situación que se verá agravada por el progresivo envejecimiento de la población, al ser una de las principales causas de morbi-mortalidad [seguir leyendo].
