El parto pretérmino es una complicación obstétrica de etiología multifactorial. Una de las causas del parto pretérmino son las infecciones, como por ejemplo la enfermedad periodontal, la cual ha sido asociada en numerosas ocasiones con la aparición de eventos adversos del embarazo.
