RESUMEN

La crisis económica actual hace que temas como la mejora de la calidad de la asistencia sanitaria y la sostenibilidad del Sistemas Sanitario Español, preocupen a instituciones, profesionales y ciudadanos. Distintos países están adoptan diferentes estrategias de gestión, algunas provenientes del ámbito industrial, en un intento de dar solución a este problema, entre ellas se encuentra: Lean manufacturing. Este estudio revisa críticamente la documentación obtenida, tanto en habla castellana como inglesa, a través de una exhaustiva búsqueda bibliográfica en las principales fuentes de información: Medline (8), PubMed (1/143), CUIDEN plus (0), EJS (0), Ocenet Salud (0), Cochrane Library Plus (5/22), Dialnet (2/10) y Google scholar (1), todo ello para dar respuesta a la pregunta inicial de búsqueda: ¿Es congruente y factible implantar la metodología Lean manufacturing en la gestión sanitaria a un hospital público de nivel 3? Los resultados obtenidos indican la conveniencia de su aplicación dado los beneficios productivos que origina y el aumento en la satisfacción del cliente y del personal; en cuanto si es viable en el entorno sanitario los artículos aportan los elementos estructurales que lo refutan, eso sí, la mayoría de los estudios analizados precisan de un mayor desarrollo estadístico que haga comprender mejor y de forma más completa la realidad intrínseca de Lean en el sector sanitario. Creo que no se debe dejar pasar esta oportunidad de acoger Lean y retomo en este punto la cuestión de partida: ¿podemos implantar la metodología Lean en un hospital público del grupo 3, de la Comunidad de Madrid?.

ABSTRACT

The current economic crisis means that issues such as improving health care quality and sustainability of the Spanish health system, of concern to institutions, professionals and citizens. Different countries have adopted different management strategies, some coming from industrial, in an attempt to solve this problem, among them are: Lean manufacturing. This study critically reviews the documentation obtained in both Spanish and English speaking, through a comprehensive literature search of primary sources: Medline (8), PubMed (1/143), CUIDEN plus (0), EJS (0), Ocenet Salud (0), Cochrane Library Plus (5/22), Dialnet (2/10) y Google scholar (1), all to answer the initial question of search: is it consistent and feasible to implement the methodology Lean manufacturing in health care public hospital to a level 3? The results indicate the suitability of your application as productive benefits rise and increased customer satisfaction and staff, as if it is viable in the healthcare environment contribute articles structural elements refute it, though, the most of the studies require further development of statistics to make better and understand more fully the intrinsic reality of Lean in healthcare. I think you should not miss this opportunity to host Read and return at this point of departure the question: can we implement Lean in a public hospital in group 3, the Community of Madrid?.
