RESUMEN

Objetivo: Identificar la producción científica publicada que explore las vivencias y las percepciones de los adolescentes con Diabetes Mellitus respecto al apoyo social que reciben de familiares y amigos.
Método: Se llevó a cabo una revisión bibliográfica. Para la localización de los documentos fueron consultadas las bases de datos Pubmed, Cuiden, Medline e Ibecs en Agosto de 2014. Se hicieron búsquedas no restrictivas y exhaustivas con términos MeSH, desde 2009 a 2014. Revisado por pares.
Resultados: Se encontraron un total de 50 artículos. Se excluyeron los artículos duplicados en las diferentes bases de datos y los artículos que no estaban relacionados directamente con el tema de la revisión, como los que trataban de la diabetes en niños, en adultos y en mujeres gestantes. El total de artículos originales seleccionados fue de 16, siendo todos de carácter cualitativo. Hemos de reseñar que, existen muy pocas publicaciones en el límite temporal de 5 años.
Conclusión: Los resultados ponen de manifiesto que los adolescentes con diabetes mellitus, ven como positivo el dar a conocer su patología crónica a familiares y amigos, facilitando así la normalización de la enfermedad, pero a su vez, sienten la necesidad de pertenecer a un grupo social para identificarse fuera de la familia.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To identify the published scientific production that explores the experiences and perceptions of adolescents with Diabetes Mellitus on the social support they receive from family and friends.
Method: A bibliographical review was carried out For the localization of documents were consulted databases Pubmed, Cuiden, Medline and Ibecs in August 2014. Searchs were not restrictive, and throrough with MeSH terms, from 2009 to 2014.Peer review.
Results: A total of 50 articles were found. Duplicated in different databases and items that were not directly related to the subject of the review articles were excluded, such as those dealing with diabetes in children, adults and pregnant women. The total original articles selected was 16, being all qualitative character. We have to note that there are very few publications in the time limit of 5 years.
Conclusion: The results reveal that the adolescents with diabetes mellitus, see as positive announcing his chronic pathology to relatives and friends, facilitating this way the normalization of the disease, but in turn, feel the need to belong to a social group to identify out of the family.
