Resumen

En este relato de vida,  Piedad  hace presente el pasado en lo que a la asistencia y al acto de parir a principios de siglo XX se refiere.  Pone de manifiesto las diferencias que crea el paso del tiempo en cuanto a valores, concepciones y actitudes ante la vida. Resalta su autosuficiencia y autonomía en contraste con la capacidad resolutiva de las mujeres de hoy, aunque  echa  de menos no haber dispuesto de los conocimientos que  actualmente tienen éstas.

 Abstract (Give birth at the beginning of century xx: the history of Piedad)

In this story of life, Piedad does present the past in which  the aid and  the act of give birth at the beginning of century XX refers.  It shows the differences that creates the step of the time as for values, conceptions and attitudes in  the present of the life.  It stands out her self-sufficiency and autonomy in contrast with the  resolution capacity  of the women of today, although miss not to had the knowledge that at present have these.
