Resumen

Las gentes de la región de los ríos festejan a los muertos como si estuvieran vivos y les regalan con ofrendas de las cosas que más les gustaban en vida, y los esperan cada mes de noviembre para que compartan las alegrías y las tristezas de la familia, y les hablan, y les cantan, y les rezan, y les lloran, y les despiden hasta otro año, que seguramente habrá más muertos y más vivos que compartan este espacio ritual donde no hay solución de continuidad.

Abstract (Day of the deaths in tenosique)

The people of the River's region celebrate the day of the deaths as is they were still alive. They offer them the things that they used to like most when they were alive. These people wait for every November to share with the deaths the happiness and sorrow of the familiy, to talk, sing, pray and cry for them, and to say goodbye until the following year, when there will be more deaths and new people sharing this ritual space where there is no continuity solution.
