La relación de ayuda a la mujer durante el embarazo, parto y puerperio del primer hijo

Resumen

Tipo de estudio: Cualitativo, basado en el análisis de discursos sociales de mujeres sobre el apoyo familiar recibido durante el embarazo, parto y puerperio del primer hijo.

Sujetos y métodos: Se realizaron entrevistas estructuradas y no estructuradas a ocho mujeres de una misma familia de todas las generaciones vivas actualmente. El marco teórico y metodológico usado en el análisis se encuadra dentro de la teoría de los cuidados culturales de Madeleine Leininger y la hermenéutica.

Resultados principales: El análisis de los discursos sociales pone de manifiesto los importantes cambios ocurridos desde mediados del siglo XX hasta la actualidad en el apoyo familiar que reciben las mujeres en su primer embarazo y el proceso que va desde la gestación al puerperio. Los actores participantes en el proceso, sus papeles y el contexto han cambiado de manera sustancial, desde un ámbito privado y femenino en el que la mujer es la protagonista, a otro tecnológico y público en el que el trabajo de la mujer se hace invisible.

Conclusión: El mantenimiento de la salud y el bienestar de la mujer durante el proceso reproductivo mantiene una estrecha relación con el apoyo familiar, casi siempre femenino. En las generaciones más recientes las mujeres han perdido el protagonismo y el control en el embarazo y el parto debido a la incorporación de nuevos actores y contextos.

Abstract (Family's health care to the woman during her first pregnancy, childbirth and puerpery)

Study type: Qualitative, based on the analysis of women's social speeches on the family support received during the pregnancy, childbirth and the first child's puerpery.

Fellows and methods: We carried out structured and not structured interviews on eight women of one family of all the alive generations at the moment. The theoretical and methodological mark used in the analysis is framed inside the theory of the cultural cares of Madeleine Leininger and the hermeneutic.

Main results: The analysis of the social speeches shows the important changes happened from half of the XX century until the present time in the family support that the women receive in its first pregnancy and the process that goes from the gestation to the puerpery. The participant actors in the process, their papers and the context have changed in a substantial way, from a private and feminine environment where the woman is the main character, to other technological and public in which the woman's work becomes invisible.

Conclusion: The maintenance of the health and the woman's well-being during the reproductive process maintain a narrow relationship with the family support, almost always feminine. In the most recent generations the women have lost the protagonism and the control in the pregnancy and the childbirth due to the incorporation of new actors and contexts.
