Resumen Objetivo: Describir instrumentos de medición de factores estresantes que afectan a las personas en cuidado intensivo. Metodología: Revisión bibliográfica integrativa realizada sin delimitación temporal a producciones científicas escritas en español, inglés y portugués. Resultados: Se obtuvieron 18 artículos en los que se describe instrumentos de evaluación de factores estresores en cuidado intensivo, sus propiedades psicométricas y el efecto de su aplicación. Conclusión: La literatura reporta la existencia de tres instrumentos para la cuantificación de factores estresantes en cuidados intensivos, con los mismos pacientes, sus familias y equipo de salud identifican las situaciones físicas como las condiciones más estresantes. Realizar este tipo de determinación posibilita a enfermería manipular el ambiente para producir un entorno más terapéutico, más humanizado, prevenir complicaciones y ajustar el plan de cuidados. Abstract (Measuring instruments stressors affecting people in intensive care: an integrative review) Objective: Describe measurement instruments stressors that affect people in intensive care. Methodology: integrative literature review performed without temporary delimitation scientific productions written in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Results: There were 18 articles that described assessment tools in intensive care stressors, its psychometric properties and the effect of its application. Conclusion: The literature reports the existence of three instruments for the quantification of stressors in intensive care, with the same patients, their families and health team identifies the physical situations as more stressful conditions. Doing this kind of determination enables nurses manipulate the environment to produce a therapeutic environment, more humane, prevent complications and adjust the plan of care.
