RESUMEN

Objetivo: El objetivo principal consistió en comprobar la fiabilidad que ofrecen los métodos electrónicos frente al convencional de mercurio. Así mismo conocer la aceptabilidad del paciente y el personal de enfermería frente al uso de cada  método.
Métodos: Se sometieron a 50 pacientes sometidos a cirugía mayor, durante las primeras 4 horas de ingreso a  la medición de la temperatura axilar con mercurio, axilar y tímpanica digital,  y cutánea por sensor digital de monitor. Se realizan dos preguntas sobre la comodidad de los métodos utilizadosal paciente y  personal de enfermería que realizó las mediciones.
Resultados: Se evidenciaron que existían diferencias entre las medidas de cada método, clínicamente las variaciones se situaron entre 0 y 3 décimas de grado.  Se observó que las diferencias iniciales se veían aumentadas entre 3 y 8 décimas de grado en los pacientes hipertérmicos. Los pacientes prefirieron en un 60% el termómetro digital timpánico, mientras que el personal de enfermería prefirió el sistema de sensor digital para la toma de la temperatura.
Conclusiones: En pacientes normotérmicos cualquiera de los métodos alternativos al mercurio mencionados es válido para realizar un seguimiento de su evolución térmica. En los hipotérmicos el uso de los métodos digitales será la elección correcta dado que cubren el espectro de hipotermia en cualquier caso.

Abstract
Digital systems of medition bodily temperature about alternative mercury thermometer

Objective: The main objective consisted on checking the reliability that you/they offer the electronic methods in front of the conventional of mercury. Likewise to know the patient's acceptability and the nursing personnel in front of the use of each method.  
Methods: They underwent 50 intervened patients of more surgery, during the first 4 hours of entrance to the measure of the axillary temperature with mercury, axillary and digital and cutaneous tympanic for digital sensor of monitor. They are carried out two questions about the comfort of the methods used the patient and personal of infirmary that carried out the measures.  
Results: Differences were evidenced among the measures of each method. Clinically the variations were located among 0 and tenth 3 of degree. It was observed that the initial differences were increased among 3 and tenth 8 of degree in the patient hipertérmicos. The patients preferred in 60% the thermometer digital tympanic, while the nursing personnel preferred the systems of digital sensor for the taking of the temperature.  
Conclusions: In normothermic patient anyone of those alternative methods to the mentioned mercury is valid to carry out a pursuit of its thermal evolution. In the hypothermics the use of the digital methods will be the correct election since they cover the hypothermia spectrum anyway.
