La fiebre y el uso de medidas físicas	The fever and the use of physical methods
La fiebre es una respuesta  fisiológica adaptativa normal, común a múltiples procesos (sobretodo infecciosos). Está a debate el objetivo a la hora de ser tratada: disminuir la temperatura o aumentar el bienestar. Si es que debe ser abordada. De las actuaciones a las que podemos optar se encuentran las medidas físicas, de uso tradicional. Para poder comprender mejor su actuación, se describe la fisiopatología de la fiebre y los cuatro mecanismos por los que estas medidas hacen perder calor al cuerpo. Tras el análisis de varios estudios, todos con diversas limitaciones, se constata que los métodos físicos causan algún tipo de malestar a los individuos y que su efecto para disminuir la temperatura es reducido, siendo más eficaces asociados a un fármaco antipirético. Surge la duda de si no se habrá confundido el enfoque de las medidas físicas y la necesidad de conocer los deseos y opiniones de los individuos afectados.	The fever is a physiological adaptative normal reaction, common response to multiple processes (especially infectious). It is debated the objective to be treated: To diminish the temperature or to increase the comfort: If it is that it must be approached. Of the actions to which we can choose we find the physical methods, of traditional use. To can understand their action better, the phisiopatology of the fever is described and the four mechanisms for which these methods makes lose heat to the body. After the analysis of several studies, all of them with diverse limitations, there are evidences that the physical methods cause some type of discomfort to the patients and  their effect to reduce the temperature is limited, being more effective associated to a medicament antipiretic. The doubt arises from if there will not have got confused the approach of the physical measures and the need to know the desires and opinions of the affected patients.
